TERRORism In My Backyard: Will The Real Terrorist Stand Up!

Tuesday, September 30, 2014Brother Mustafaa

Blacks packed in the holes of slave-ships like sardines

The United States Department of Defense defines “Terrorism” as “The calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” Within this definition, there are three key elements—violencefear, and intimidation—and each element produces terror in its victims.”

Terror as a noun is defined as: 1) A very strong feeling of fear.
2) Something that causes very strong feelings of fear. 3) Violence that is committed by a person, group, or government in order to frighten people and achieve a political goal.

I, as a Blackman, am personally disgusted each time I hear the media or governmental officials refer to someone as a terrorist. I understand there are people in the world who practice acts of violence, which might fall in line with the above definition of “terrorism”, however they are not the only “terrorist” functioning in our world.

If we are going to deal with “terrorist” then let’s deal with all “terrorist”. I put “terrorist” in quotes, because I will not allow this ambiguous use of language to be used to demonize a group of people|Muslims| when the same term “terrorist” is not used to describe the evils that white supremacy has produced.

Malcolm X and The Hon. Elijah Muhammad both taught us, “Of all our studies, history is best qualified to reward our research.” We have lived under the above definition of “terrorism” throughout our history in America and contact with Europeans. I feel and many would probably agree you |white America| have been our “terrorist” and you have practiced terrorism on us.

The department of defense in it’s definition of “terrorism” states there are three key elements: violence, fear and intimidation. We will look at these three key elements in the context of our historical interaction with Europeans, who claimed to be peaceful Christians.

Violence:

Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed
and establishes a town by injustice!” Habbakkuk 2:12

Just a basic overview of history proves that you have practiced the worst violence on the blacks from Africa and my Indian brothers and sisters already living here. It is reported that millions(2~4 million or more) died in the middle passage traveling from Africa to America.

Tulsa, Ok after bombing which cost 1000's of lives

The first instance of domestic terrorism or mass destruction of human life didn’t happen on September 11th 2001. This is no reason to disrespect the loss of lives(3000) on that day, but to remind that we have been terrorized as well. If we travel back in time to the fateful day of June 1st, 1921 in Tulsa, Ok we will find the terrible destruction of human life. During a 12~16 hour campaign the whites used planes to drop bombs on the Greenwood section of Tulsa killing estimates of 3,000 black men and women. 800 were admitted to the hospital with injuries, 10,000 were left homeless, 600 successful businesses were lost, 21 churches were lost, 30 grocery stores were lost and many more businesses were lost.

There have been other smaller, but just as violent, instances of terror evoking actions against black men and women here in America including the bombing of 4 little girls in Birmingham, The Bombing of Move in Philadelphia, police brutality by paid public servants.

Many black men may face terror while DWB(Driving While Black) or just being black period considering what paid public servant, police officers, have the ability to do to them and get away with i.e. murder.

My black brothers and sisters you are more likely to encounter “terrorism” by your White Christian Brothers and Sisters or “white” minded Black brothers and sisters than you are from some crazy Muslim from the Middle East.

Fear:

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.”Proverbs 29:25

Therefore, due to these repeated violent acts we have developed a fear, which causes many to stay in their place, not resist or just go along to get along. But the bottom line is they are functioning out of fear.

1920 Lynching
During and after slavery the murdered body of a black man or woman was often left for display to instill fear in the other slaves the consequences of resisting. It is quite interesting that the murdered bodies of Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin were left out for display also.

This fear made mothers and fathers teach their children, in a over protective manner, not to get out of line lest they face death, so we submitted to all manner of mistreatment. These calculated acts of violence have made us fearful, which as the Bible says is a snare.

Intimidation:

To intimidate someone, according to definition, means to: “frighten or overawe (someone), especially in order to make them do what one wants.”

They have some of us so scared to death we wont say anything, think a alternate thought, try a different approach if we think it will displease white people. We talk big and bad in the house, around the dinner table, the water cooler at work, but when this big old, in our mind, intimidating white man comes on the scene we conveniently get in our place and put our buck dancing shoes on.

We use weak discouraging language like “if you stand up they will kill you” or “the white man is not going to let you do that” or “you are never going to get a good job”. We have so much fear that we have been intimidated into inaction.

Therefore, based on these wicked deeds by White America, Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X and The Nation of Islam said that the white men doing these things were the Devil himself. Don’t get mad at them or me I didn’t write your history in blood.

If you can call the late Osama bin Laden, Al Qadea and now ISIS terrorist for their calculated actions of violence, fear and intimidation then what about you, white America, and your police departments when you have fulfilled the requirements of your own definition of a terrorist?

Thanks for reading and allowing me to express myself!
