In Every City There Is A Dr. Ben Carson(The Mentality)

"Our first step is to give back to the white man his religion (Christianity), his church, and his names. These three are chains of slavery that hold us in bondage to them. We are free when we give up the above three.  The Hon. Elijah Muhammad

Dr. Ben Carson, renown former Neurosurgeon, has been under fire since making remarks erroneously comparing enslaved Africans with immigrants coming to America seeking better opportunity. His exact words were as follows:

"There were immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder, for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land."

As we know the Transatlantic slave trade wasn't that nice and full of opportunity. It has been reported that hundreds of millions lost their lives just travelling in the middle passage from Africa to America. Once we arrived on the shores of America we were constantly exposed to rapes, brutality, murder, tortue, hangings, burnings and bombings of where we live. We have been exposed to scientific experiments like the Tuskegee experiment from 1932-1972 and current biological warfare in the form of vaccines.

It would not be a stretch to say we have been living in hell. If we died and went to a literal hell it's hard to imagine there could be a worse hell than America for blacks. Today we still suffer from police killings, disrespect of our basic humanity and poor quality of life under this system of white supremacy.

It is in the context of our historical experiences and current experiences which have many scratching their heads at Dr. Ben Carson's recent comments. Taken alone his comments are ridiculous, but we have other similarly ridiculous comments which show a consistent pattern of disrespect of his black identity. In the words of my late brother, Dr. Khalid Abdul Muhammad, Ben Carson is nothing but a "boot licking, butt locking and buck dancing negro".

I am not writing at this time to speak negatively against Dr. Ben Carson as an individual, but to speak against and condemn the mentality he carries. Moving from Ben Carson the man to Ben Carson the mentality, we see this sickness widespread throughout the black community in chronic and acute forms.

Jet magazine, in the 60's, described The Hon. Elijah Muhammad as a "master psychologist" due to his healing work among black people in America. As a "master psychologist" The Hon. Elijah Muhammad has accurately diagnosed the root of our conditions, which create in us the "negro" mind. He along with his mighty ministers and followers have been trying their best to heal black America of their illness(mental) since the 30's.

Every city across America has their own Ben Carson minded men and women, who in their sickness work against the aims and aspirations of their own people to the amusement of their open enemies and oppressors.

The quote from The Hon. Elijah Muhammad at the beginning of this article describe his diagnosis of why we remain in bondage. He said come out of the white man's religion, his church and his names.

Ben Carson and those who think like him are really the victims of miseducation and lack of self knowledge. In conclusion, we will examine the three points raised by The Hon. Elijah Muhammad.

#1 The white man's religion(Christianity)

When we say the "white man's religion" we must differentiate between the true teachings of Jesus and what later was attributed to him by European interpreters. Jesus taught the oneness of God(his father), love, righteousness, mercy, Justice, but those who later came in his name practiced slavery, suffering and death. Jesus said you shall know a tree by the fruit that it bears. Using that as a standard, what can be said of the white Christianty we have lived under for over 400 years? This Christianity murdered the Indians, stole their land, kidnapped and enslaved the African and colonized a world in the name of their religion. This Christianity gave the image of a white Jesus, white God, white prophets, white angels and thus we subtly associated greatness in white spiritual figures to white people in general. This is the white man's religion not the teachings of a good man like Jesus Christ.

#2 The white man's church

The whites later gave us their "religion" and bible not because they wanted us to be liberated in Christ, but the exact opposite. They knew we were a spiritual people by nature and thus in religious misunderstanding we would become spiritually enslaved in the name of Jesus. They rejected us from coming to their churches though we supposedly worshiped the same God. Therefore, we began our own churches, but at the root of our black churches was the white man's religious interpretation. In their church/religion they(White Chritians/White Jews) are the starring attractions in the story of God while we are just supporting cast. We(Black man & Woman) are the real chosen people of God and the ones he has interest in elevating today.

#3 The white man's name

The Bible teaches us in the books of proverbs "a good name is better than gold". We didn't adopt European names we carry today they were beaten into us. Our story is told in the Biblical story of Daniel and the children of Israel in Babylon wherein he and the children had their names changed by the king Nebuchadnezzar.

"Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego." Daniel 1:6-7
Whether we want to admit it or not we are honoring the murders, rapist, torturers, lynchers, kidnappers of our people by wearing the names of the people who committed such acts against our people. If you research back the names we presently carry can be traced back to a slavemaster, who was the tormentor of our ancestors. They live on in us carrying the legacy of their names.
These three chains have created the modern "African American" mind. Ben Carson is the chronic condition of the sickness that has been passed down to us through the generations, but he isn't the only one. Others suffer from acute symptoms and are not as sick as the chronic suffers, but we are all sick in one form or another.
I believe in a man, The Hon. Louis Farrakhan, who has healing in his mouth from the divine teachings of The Hon. Elijah Muhmmad that can heal every black man, woman and child from the mental sickness of white supremacy and black inferiority.
