Proper Understanding Of Religion Will Keep Keep Us Balanced And Enriched Both Spiritually and Materially

Friday, August 16, 2013Mustafaa Abdul Muhammad

"The scriptures teaches, “Be ye not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,” so regardless to what religion we belong to, our “religions” are obviously not informing us on how to spend our money; so we think we are “God centered” while we are financially illiterate. The problem is that we are not really “God centered.” We have been deceived into thinking we are “God centered,” but we can never be “God centered” if we do not know: 1) Principles of frugality and 2) Wise spending of what God gives us."

(The above excerpt is from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s Saviours’ Day keynote address he delivered at the U.I.C. Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, February 24, 2013 titled “Muhammad’s Economic Blueprint: Ending Poverty & Want.” This portion of the message serves as Part 31 of his 52-week Lecture Series on “The Time and What Must Be Done,” which aired on Saturday, August 10, 2013.
