"In Jamaica, National Heroes Day is Monday, October 20th and there will be a large national celebration and observance. Traditionally, the week prior, teachers bring young students to National Heroes Park to hear stories of the great leaders who have monuments there. During our time there we saw dozens of buses coming to the park filled with young smiling faces. Here is the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and First Lady of the Nation of Islam, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, with some of the students.  'I want to take a picture with the giants," Min. Farrakhan said. - Ashahed Muhammad (Assistant Editor, Final Call Newspaper)

"This morning at National Heroes Park in Jamaica, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan laid wreaths in a moving tribute to many of the nation's great heroes, Prime Ministers, and cultural leaders who are buried there w/ monuments erected in their honor. Here he is laying a wreath (emblazoned with the Red, Black and Green flag of the UNIA) at the grave of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey." - Ashahed Muhammad (Assistant Editor, Final Call Newspaper)
